Two movies that rock the gore and the laughs for the season. We talk about both movies and what we think about them. Plus Christina made up the Horrorshot this week!
This week we have two brand new movies to review for you! Two brand new horror comedy movies. Nekrotronic about a couple of friends who battle the internet demons with necromancy and jokes. Then we watched The Banana Splits Movie. Animatronic childhood happy puppets come to life and feed on the living because their show is getting canceled. Sound fun? Let's GO! Plus we pick our winner for our monthly contest this month!
This episode is out of this world! Or... is it? We take on two movies with Aliens on the mind. First with Welcome To Willits (2016). About a dealer who lives out in the woods and is seeing aliens take over the planet. Then we dive into a Found Footage newer film called Phoenix Forgotten (2017) about some kids who went missing following the Phoenix Lights that happened back in March 13, 1997. We give our theories on what we think one of these films could have added. It's jam packed full of goodness.
This week we watched Alexandre Aja's new movie about killer Alligators called Crawl (2019)! We talk about what we thought as well as any delicious facts about the film that you might want to know. What's it with evil kids and their holes in the ground that makes us all bugaboo? This week we explore two movies with a common theme of holes in the ground and weird little kids who love them. We review The Pit (1981) about a boy named Jamie who perves out on people and throws people in a pit of monsters for the sake of his teddy bear who told him to. Then we tack on a new movie called The Hole In The Ground (2019) About a mother and her son who stumble upon a giant hole and suddenly her son starts acting extremely weird. Is it her son? Find out. Tis' the season to be bloody. This week we dive into the Silent Night Deadly Night franchise with parts 2 & 3 Better watch out! The 1st Santa killer movie set the franchise down a weird path and we plan to talk about them all. Plus, we talk with Director Lukas Rinker on to talk about getting his LASERPOPE movie made! He discusses the origins of LASERPOPE and where the line really is. We even take our Yearly Gut Krampus shot courtesy of one of our listeners. We take on 2 new horror comedies that just released this week! Blood Fest & Slice. 2 movies that are a little silly and one of them that surprised us greatly. Blood Fest is about a Horror theme park that comes to life and tries to kill it's patrons. Slice is a movie about a gateway to hell that a Pizza Place is built on. One of our favorite sub genres is back with two Italian (zombie?) Horror movies from the 80s! Lucio Fulci's own Zombie 3 and Claudio Fragasso's Zombie 4 After Death. Two movies that should be paired together but not because of the story. In fact these two movies have very little to do with each other or their very successful masterpiece Zombie 2 aka Lucio Fulci's “Zombie” (1979). We dive mouth first into a pile of flesh to cover all the trivia and background on both these films. There is plenty of fun trivia on these movies while we break down our thoughts on each and which movie beats the other. It's a schlock down of zombie proportions.
As promised we return to the Howling franchise! Only this time we brought a friend! Horror friend and artist Brad Thornton joins Alex in Watching parts 3 & 4. We start it off with The 3rd story which hops to Australia with a pouch full of weird werewolves and marsupial people. It's.. interesting? Then we jump into part 4 where we the biggest nightmare is probably watching it. It was a true test of movie watching on both our parts. We even made up a horrorshot that fits all too well and talk about the news.
Since our recent #Graveplots horror movie we made up we figured let's watch some werewolf movies. What better series to start with than The Howling (1981) & Howling 2: Your Sisters A Werewolf (1985). 2 completely different tones from one another but were both extremely enjoyable. One of them though.. oh boy... It's a doozy of a film. Makes you wonder how the franchise got so popular. We also take a new #horrorshot to wash down the after taste of these movies. So buckle up.

We talk about Michele Soavi's Demons 3 nod called“The Church” (1989) and Michael Mann’s disowned world war 2 fairy tale horror movie that had 2 hours cut from it called “The Keep” (1983). Both will deliver a dream-like what the heck is going on atmosphere you are looking for. We break down both and all the oodles of trivia that you might be looking for about it. Plus we even made a shot dedicated to the character “Lotte” played by Asia Argento from “The Church”. It's our #horrorshot called “Lotte Communion”. Have you seen these movie? Sometimes science can be very weird and so is this case in the 2 movies we watched this week. “Altered States” & “Demon Seed”. One story about a guy who is researching the effects of the brain on hallucinogens in sensory deprivation tank and one scientist who creates the smartest Artificial Intelligence with a healthy appetite for makin babies. You won't want to miss this one. Plus we chat it up about last weeks news on the Gremlins reboot and even made a new #horrorshot called a “Sensory Mutation”. Is a story abou a hacker who finds a military frequency that was used to control peoples minds and make them act out their worst nightmares. It's Britnis Birthday Episode! She picked two movies that tickled her greasy elbow. We watched “Hobo with a Shotgun” and “The Greasy Strangler”. Two messed up movies that are completely different. We talk about the news this last week and we made up a combo #horrorshot called “The Greasy Shotgun” that combines both the movies we watched this week! Have you seen these weird flicks? It's a perfectly messed up episode and I think you will like it.
You asked for it. So we delivered. MORE weird Asian flicks. We invited our friend Don Anelli from the Horror Mafia Podcast to help us digest and upack these flicks from the 80s. They may be a little deeper cuts into the genre than normal. This week we talk about the psychedelic adventure ride from hell called “The Boxers Omen”. Existential horror at its best? This one blew our minds as it's trippy gore splattered our eyes. Next we talk about the gore soaked “Evil Dead Trap”. No, not an unofficial sequel to Evil Dead. It's another sort of existential horror movies that a conjoined twin kills off a camera crew one by one. Have you seen these? Well buckle up and get ready for us to tell you all about them. There are not many films that have black female leads in them and even less that we have not already covered. So we decided to dip into the mainstream a bit more for this week. We kick things off with “The Taking of Deborah Logan” which is a found footage movie about an older lady with alzheimer's gone wrong. Then we jump into a more artsy film with a bit of a double entendre in the possession department. This movie will scar you mentally as it's nothing you might have seen before it. We devour both for this week and tell you all about the gory details.
