It's a new episode with a new skit?! Yeah Alex hasn't done one in a long time but felt spicy this morning and made it. Summer is practically here so we reviewed BEACH movies! Summer is coming.. and it will eat you alive. Two movies about beach that EAT PEOPLE!? You got that right. If you thought social climate was bad wait till you see what these beaches are packing. First we review BLOOD BEACH (1980) Where the residents of Santa Monica County are disappearing without a trace. It's up to 2 Beach Patrol dudes and a whole squad of police to find out what is eating people. Then we review THE SAND (2015). A Syfy original? I know I know! But this one is actually pretty fun. It's about a bunch of college kids who throw a party on the beach and wake up to find their friends missing and that anyone who tries to leave the beach is devoured. Heck of a morning... Well we continue our viewing and reviewing journey this week with a couple of Italian made US shot horror movies that involve animals, colleges and 1988. First we dive into the Zombie Franchise from Italy with ZOMBIE 5: Killing Birds (1988) about a group of college kids who are studying a rare bird and suddenly are plagued with zombies in a Lousiana mansion. "But what about the birds guys!?" We solve the mystery. Then it's time to review PRIMAL RAGE (1988) Years before the monkeys turned a group of activists into rage induced zombies in the UK. There was this film from the 80's they possibly stole the idea from. Only this is much more silly and ridiculous. A film that's totally 80's with a theme song, Baboons, Happy Sick Jocks, Masks a plenty and fantastic dialogue to make all your 80's dreams come true. JOIN US! This week we dug deep for horror fans that like to dig the deepest and find the weirdest and sometimes the most inspiring movies of the bunch. We are talking SOV or Shoestring backyard budget horror films. Ones that even caught the ire of the Video nasties list in England. Ones that have Zombies in dream sequences and so much more. These are the GET OUT THERE AND MAKE A DANG MOVIE type of movies from the 80's. We kick it off with SUFFER LITTLE CHILDREN (1983) which is a movie that an entire kids drama class made with a guy who used to be a rock star promoter in the UK! It about a mute demonic girl that causes an entire orphanage to go crazy and attack everyone. Then we review the movie The Soultangler (1987) which is actually shot on 16mm but on very low budget and shot in a week! About a mad scientist who has developed a drug that can transcend reality and let you jump between bodies of the living or the dead. A movie that has some of the FX from Street Trash! JOIN US!
We didn't think we would be back to Aliens so quick. This time it's not about humans being abducted. It's our little green friends getting abducted by some of us humans! That's right we kick it off this week with the director of The Blair Witch Projects Eduardo Sanchez movie called ALTERED (2006). About a group of guys who hunt down an alien for revenge of one of their friends who died by them. Now it's time to find out what makes them tick. Then we review the movie DEVILS GATE (2016) About a man who lost his wife and child to an event and he secretly is hiding an Alien, Demon or Angel in his basement to get them back. We go South of the Border for some supernatural horror movie treats in the genre this week. That's right it's time for a long awaited VACATION OF TERROR (1989) Where a family go on vacation to a home which hundreds of years earlier was the site of a witch burning. When the family and the families boyfriend find a cursed doll that is possessed by the witches spirit... The family have to battle for their souls! We also watched and review the sequel to that movie VACATION OF TERROR 2 Diabolical Birthday (1991) Where Julio the BF returns but he runs a successful business where a woman walks in with her sisters carrying a familiar doll. Did you know that Halfway To Halloween is a thing? We are catching it just a little bit early this week in preparation. We watched 2 Halloween Movies that both deal with ICONIC masks for Halloween! First we kick off the celebration with a review of HALLOWEEN III: Season of the Witch (1982). Where a bunch of strange murders are popping up around town and it's up to a Doctor and a victims Daughter to solve the mystery surround these strange Halloween Masks... but you will NEVER guess what is happening! Then we review a newer Halloween film called HAUNT (2019) about a group of kids who visit an extreme haunted house on Halloween that turns into a real murderous situation beyond their imagination. We are back for a Weird AF Wonders Episode of Rat People Proportions. That's right.. we review two movies that may just blow your mind. First we talk about RATBOY (1986) where a young teenage Rat "BOY" is found and exploited by a woman and her two brothers to become FAMOUS. However the story behind the movie may just be the more interesting story. So you will NOT want to miss the Spoiler Section on this one. It has some pretty wild trivia that Christina gets heated about involving Clint Eastwood? Yep. Then we discuss RAT MAN (1988) about a genetically engineered or rather human sperm induced rat baby starts shredding models on a jungle island. Well.. the 6th installment is coming out this March and we have timed our episodes to correlate with it's release. We will be covering all the movies in the franchise starting today with SCREAM (1996) & SCREAM 2 (1997) by Wes Craven! That's right the franchise that plagued/blessed the 90's is back in a big way. Christina returns to talk about two movies that are from Spain & France. The mutant kind of movies. One from Alex De La Iglesia that just released on Severin for 4k UHD called ACCION MUTANTE (1993). He's the guy who directed The Last Circus and many other crazy wonderfully weird Spanish films. It's a story about a group of disabled terrorist hellbent on destroying the beautiful people of the galaxy in the future. Then we review a movie that isn't talked about a lot that IFC picked up in 2009 called Mutants (2009). This one is like a zombie horror film but it's a mutant virus that turns people into weird black eyed & black blooded weirdos that screech and tear people apart. Is it a forgotten gem.? That's right Alex finally was backed into a corner by Nyq to not only watch it once but 2 times to see why he liked or disliked the movie. Alex picked up some movies recently and it just so happened to be around the release of Teen Wolf (2023) Movie. So we decided to watch where the original comedy movie it originated from.. Plus it's sequel. All the way back in (1985) w/ Michael J. Fox as a werewolf. in TEEN WOLF (1985) Yep, that's right. Scott Howard is an awkward teen who just can't seem to fit in. His basketball team sucks and he's trying to date the prettiest girl in school. One day he transforms into a werewolf and his whole life as well as the school changes forever. Plus, we take on the even lesser talked about cash grab of a films called TEEN WOLF TOO (1987) Which replaced Michael J. Fox with a very young Jason Bateman. No, He's not dealing heroin in the ozarks, He's getting a boxing Scholarship in College and is the cousin of Scott Howard named Todd Howard. With a returning cast of characters and hi-jinx like the first only with a heaping of disaster thrown in. 2022 is finally over and we have finally returned to tell you all about our BEST HORROR MOVIES OF 2022! Plus Christina throws in her best TV shows of 2022 and recaps of what we watched. 20 of the best horror films this past year was no easy task for anyone... Especially this past year. As there were so many divisive films to argue about or love. I think some of these titles will surprise you guys. As always these are just MY choices and they aren't meant to be set in stone. Last week we watched a few new horror movies that were a bit unknown. So, we thought to pick some older movies that were known really well to make up for it. We watched and reviewed a classic Christmas movie that 80s kids grew up on. GREMLINS (1984) starring your lovable fury pal Gizmo voiced by the prolapse video sharing tiktok legend and 80s fame Howie Mandel. When a certain curious pets owner breaks a few very important rules things multiply into green creatures hellbent on mischief. Not to mention Zach Gallgan, Pheobe Cates and a ton of legends like Dick Miller. Since theres no way that we can watch that movie without watching the sequel. We decided to pair it with GREMLINS 2 The New Batch (1990). A movie that returns a lot of the stars from the first movie and throws in a bunch of legendary cameos and jokes to fill the movie. It's a bigger budget Gremlins in a Smart High Rise with some awfully green issues.
