The movie that shamelessly ripped footage from multiple shark movies to make it's own. It's one of those SBIG movies we love! Then we bring the sharks to future with LAND SHARK (2020) a CGI Shark Fest about a shark that mutates and hunts people ON LAND! Whoa... Yeah it's going to be a splendid summer episode for you guys. I guess since it's summer time we are just on a killer animal kick? So this week we talk Ssssssssnakes. Yep those slithering suckers. Two movies that we review and talk about in our epic breakdowns. First we review Jaws of Satan (1981). Another animal jaws rip off about a snake so evil that Satan himself uses him to control other snakes with his mind powers. However, there is a heroic priest with a lineage of heroes! Then we take on Curse 2 The Bite (1989) which is only a sequel by name as it is NOT linked to the original film. This week on BTV! We take on a few gator movies and even a brand new Flammin Hot Gator Bait drink?! Yep. This week is all about reptile love.... not that kind... Alligator (1980) & Alligator 2 The Mutation (1991) reviews! That's right its time to flush your pet gator down into the sewers to create an urban legend (in part true) that leads to a freaking movie (and a sequel) about giant alligators attacking & breaking up people into gorey bits. So Alex decided to torture us this week... WE Watched and Reviewed House of the Dead (2003) & House of the Dead (2005). Two pretty bad horror films from the 2000's. The First one was directed by Uwe Boll infamous for making bad movies. The first one is technically a prequel of the Sega Videogame franchise. Which leads us to a rave on an island where everything including the plot goes terribly wrong. Then in the sequel they replace the island with a college town and a bunch of highly/poorly trained soldiers try to extract the virus from the first zombie for and antidote. This week we review DEADLY FRIEND (1986) About a boy who's a computer genius and saves his gf's life by putting a robots chip inside her brain. Directed by Wed Craven? Yep. Then we review BLUE MONKEY (1987) about a giant volcano cricket that is infected and spreads throughout an entire hospital and procreates for hundreds of murderous crickets. It's VALENTINES DAY! So we picked a couple heart felt horror movies for the season for our 269th episode! We take on X-ray (1981) About a killer surgeon that runs around a hospital killing people in bloody ridiculous ways. Then review the LoVe story Warm Bodies (1981) about a boy zombie falling in love with a living girl. Bleeeeeechhhh. That's Christina holding back her vomit. It's the final episode of our FOLK OFF Special! You guys picked we watched and reviewed both movies. The Wicker Man (1973) & A Dark Song (2016). Both on Shudder's Folk Horror Section. We start with The Wicker Man that undoubtedly inspired Midsommar to some degree. About a virgin police officer who goes to an island in search of a missing child. He starts to realize the people around him have some very strange customs. Then we dive into a indie film that is from recent times called A Dark Song. About a woman who hires a man to perform an ancient ritual to get what they want. Only things turn pretty quickly into the supernatural very quickly. Yes! Patrick our ex host of the podcast returns to talk about a couple 80's and 90's supernatural flicks that had us want to go out and buy pajamas. First we review the movie Don't Panic (1988) About a 17yr old boy who sees through the eyes of a supernatural killer who stabs people 13 times. He does so in Blue, Red and White Dinosaur Pajamas. Can he put a stop to evil before it kills all his friends? Then we review Cthulhu Mansion (1992) where a group of thug kids kidnap a magician and his assistant (daughter) in their own home. This week we decided to take a look at the first 2 Cabin Fever movies. We had planned to check them out a year ago, but figured maybe NOW is the time to review both. Did they hold up? After what we went through this past year is it as affective as it might have been for a movie about infectious diseases? We dive in without gloves into this world that Eli Roth created and has now spun off 2 sequels and a remake. We talk about all of it this week and pour heaps of disinfected trivia all over you. Hammer Horror Week is back! That's right we spun the Wheel of Horror and ended up with a few wild ones. First up we review These Are The Damned (1962) about a black leather gang who teams up with an old dude to try and stop experiments on kids. Then we review Vampire Circus (1972) about a town that is cursed by a vampire who they killed. Everyone is dying of a strange disease until one day a strange circus comes through to finish off the job! Will anyone survive? Will we? Find out in this weeks episode.
We review a couple of new Vinegar Syndrome Releases that were sent to us. Two movies we both had not seen before too. One a slasher in the middle of Rush Week (1989) w/ a killer that preys on the ladies at the college. Is it the local frat or is it much more sinister?! Then we review Last Gasp (1995). Where a murderous developer Leslie played by Robert Patrick (T2) kills off an entire tribe in Mexico and is possessed by the remaining native in their final and last gasp. This week it's all about found footage because the third installment of The Fear Footage 3AM just came in the mail. A Youtuber that explores abandoned buildings saw the first tow movies and decided to find out if Darkbluff and all the Fear Footage is real. That's right we finish the Trilogy of the notorious tapes of The Fear Footage! Plus! We, brought along another Found Footage film for fun. We decided to give The Monster Project a full watch and review. Since we hadn't watched it.
