Starting with Ruggero Deodato (director of Cannibal Holocausts) RAIDERS of ATLANTIS (1983). A whacky adventure of Mike and Washington who take on Atlantis On Bullet at a time. Atlantis doesn't have a chance... Then we resurface for Lucio Fulci’s (Director of City of the Living Dead) WARRIORS OF THE YEAR 2072 (1984). Essentially "The Running Man" movie that Dadarno Sachetti claims ripped off his story. Which was based on the 1982 Novel of the same title by Stephen King. Coincidence? or Ripoff? You be the judge.
FULCI LIVES! and Alex will never let him die. That's why this week we tackle two newer movies from one of the Italian Masters catalog. AENIGMA (1987). After a prank goes wrong on an unsuspecting girl she's hospitalized with the powers of the DEVIL and exacts her revenge on all her friends. Then we talk about DEMONIA (1990). An archaeological team unearth a towns secret that unleashes the spirits of 5 demonic nuns who were murdered 500 years ago. It's all here in this weeks episode!
We were looking for some blood, guts & WTF this week and we found it. We picked two movies. INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS (1972) about a group of space druids who take over a small town in New York and harvest their blood for their 300 year old sleeping Queen. Then we watched SPLATTER FARM (1987) directed by 3 people, who also starred in the film and later became SOV (shot on video) legends for it. The first distributed film by the Polonia Brothers known for their get it done quick. About a 2 brothers who visit their Aunts farm when her handyman goes on a killing spree dismembering his victims. All this in one episode. We talk trivia, scenes and bad jokes.
This week things get really weird. Holy cow these movies! So bad it's good? You be the judge. First we take on Claudio Fragassos (Director of Troll 2) NIGHT KILLER (1990). A story so crazy and acted so poorly that you will have your mind blown. Then we take on Don Dohlers NIGHTBEAST (1982) about a space alien that crash lands on earth to run amuck punching out peoples chests and lasering them into burnt shadows. Both are just insane.
