Voidtober LIVES! We continue our BTV Halloween with VOIDTOBER with a few movies that might tickle your murder bones. Starting with a Italian/Mexican horror movie that definitely IS NOT Zombies, but many have considered the first FAST MOVING Zombies in horror. Tarantino and Roth have loved this film but is it all that? NIGHTMARE CITY (1980) Tells the tale of a what happens when a nuclear power plant changes people into blood thirsty hairy scabs who wield weapons and a mouth full of teeth. After reviewing that masterpiece we move on to the reboot of Evil Dead. Where a new group of kids go to help their friend kick a bad heroin addiction but find she's possessed by an ancient evil. One of the more brutal remakes of horror. See what we thought about it compared to the older films and even the TV show. We get in deep for both films and talk about trivia too! Jokes a plenty. JOIN US this week to continue the VOIDTOBER MONTH!

Alex wanted to watch a few Luigi Cozzi films that came out in 1989 so he dragged Christina back to it. We needed a break from new movies 1 week. This week we talk about Paganini Horror (1989) about a rock group that uses unreleased music from the famous violinist. Only to find they may have just given up their souls. Then we watched The Black Cat (1989) which had less to do with Poe and more to do with being the unofficial sequel to Suspiria & Inferno. This of course came out before Mother Of Tears. Boy... does it get wild.
One of our favorite sub genres is back with two Italian (zombie?) Horror movies from the 80s! Lucio Fulci's own Zombie 3 and Claudio Fragasso's Zombie 4 After Death. Two movies that should be paired together but not because of the story. In fact these two movies have very little to do with each other or their very successful masterpiece Zombie 2 aka Lucio Fulci's “Zombie” (1979). We dive mouth first into a pile of flesh to cover all the trivia and background on both these films. There is plenty of fun trivia on these movies while we break down our thoughts on each and which movie beats the other. It's a schlock down of zombie proportions.
Our 100th Episode. Help us celebrate Over the 136 uploads (or Episodes) and almost 2 years of dedication to the Beyond The Void Horror Podcast. It's been a lot of laughs, fun and sharing horror with new friends we have made along the way. We thought what better way than to celebrate than to drink 3 of our own shots (new and old) while talking about some of the worst horror movies ever. “Creatures From The Abyss” (1994) & “Rats: Night of Terror” (1984). Two movies that you might of never heard but probably will want to see after this episode. WOW... one of them is just insanely “So bad it's good”. Thank you guys for all the love and support here is to 100 more episodes!
When the movie Alien came out from Ridley Scott in 1979. The world embraced it's Sci-Fi horror like none other. It inspired many people and many movies. These are 2 of the many movies that were inspired by Alien but didn't necessarily rip them off. “Aliens 2 On Earth” about a bunch of cave explorers who descend and climb ropes to their alien tentacle deaths & “Contamination” about a bunch of weird glowing eggs that explode people. Join us as we jaw drop in awe over how bad these films can be at times. Let us take you into the bowels of movie making magic. We even made a drink called a “People Popper”. It's a Alien wanna be jamboree!
This weeks Flesh & Potatoes we talk about 2 movies that feed on the flesh of the living and are made by great Italian directors. I know... we can't get off Italian horror can we? Like what the flip. This week we talk “Cemetery Man” aka “Delamorte Delamore” and of course the infamous flesh eating classic by Horror maestro Lucio Fulci “Zombie” aka “Zombie 2” and 50 others.
